Fitting in – Speaking pg. 76
Picture number 1 makes me think that the girl in a cosplay likes manga or animae very much. Sometimes they dress in a cosplay just because they like the style, but, in other times they dress like this because it makes them feel what it is like to be the character they admire. Dressing like them is a way of pretending they are someone else or even entering in a fantastic world. Besides, this is so fashionable nowadays that you do not really need a special reason. To finish up, I think that it is also funny dressing up in a cosplay costume, because it takes you time to find the outfit and the accessories that would come with it, the make-up , that it ends up being artistic.
Picture 2 shows a man in overalls and a hardhat, which is surely his working clothes. He needs them for security. Most of the time, for people who work in the production department of a company, or who operates machines, uniforms like that are required, not only to protect them from injuries, but also to make them easily identifiable inside the premises.
In picture 3 I can say a woman wearing a sari, which is beautiful. She looks lovely and charming on it. I think hindu women wear saris daily, not only on special occasions. I also imagine that on special occasions they probably wear very sophisticated, embroidered or colorful ones. In that culture women tend to dress up, wear wear make-up and jewelry, because they give a lot of value to their female beauty.
In picture 4 there is a man, probably in his 50s, wearing a suit, shoes, tie and carrying a briefcase, which shows his going to work, or to an important business meeting. He is silverfox with brooding good looks.People who work for certain companies or have specific kinds of jobs, such as lawyers, tend to dress formally most of the time. This is a sight of tidiness, professionalism or even social status.
And in picture 5 there are some officers in their military fatigues, carrying weapons. They work for the UN. They wear this king of outfit because they have to be distinctive and pass (give?) the impression of power and authority.
